Chemical Bulk Storage Limited (CBSL) operate a sea fed bulk chemical storage terminal,
which is located in the Tivoli Docks area of the Port of Cork, Ireland.
The terminal was built by Shell Chemicals Ireland Limited in 1991 and CBSL took ownership
of the terminal in 2011.
Products stored at CBSL are supplied to Industrial and Pharmaceutical customers.
CBSL can offer product storage, logistics solutions and management services for companies wishing to
import or export bulk chemicals on the island of Ireland.
CBSL is a CoMAH (Lower Tier) accredited chemical storage facility, with a total capacity of 4,500 metric tonnes,
spread over 4 bulk storage tanks. This site also has a road tanker loading facility for top
and bottom loading and a weighbridge facility.
The tanks are sea fed from the Tivoli (Bulk Liquid) berth which is 115.8 metres in length
and has a depth of 6.0 metres.
Products stored at the facility include, Methanol, IPA, Acetone, Toluene and Acetic Anhydride.
The site has 3 x mild steel tanks each with a capacity of 1015 m³ and 1 x stainless steel (316L) tank of 1700 m³capacity.
CBSL also offer weighbridge services including Verified Gross Mass (VGM) certificates in
accordance with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Verified Gross Mas
requirements (SOLAS - Safety Of Life At Sea).
